Beschrijving functie You’ll be a member of the software development team and will develop medical software with the goal to “improve the quality, maintainability and shareability of the software developed by MAASTRO”.

To be leading in both research and clinical practice, it is important for MAASTRO that the software engineers are flexible and able to find the balance between clinical grade quality and pragmatic speed, taking the turnaround time for the whole development process into account. Development is done in agile sprints translating the roadmap provided by the Information Management Team and Principal Investigators into a short-term planning by the scrum master with help of the developers and users.

Eisenpakket You have a bachelor or master degree in software development (or equivalent) and you are an expert in Java programming. Knowledge of medical image processing and communication standards such as HL7 (FHIR) and DICOM are highly recommended. Additionally, it would be a real plus if you have strong knowledge of languages such as Matlab, Python, HTML5, JavaScript and frameworks such as Spring (Boot, Cloud, Security, Data) and Angular. Familiarity with TypeScript, RDF en ElasticSearch is welcome as well. Furthermore, you know your way around the Atlassian technology stack (Jira, Bamboo, Bitbucket) or other source code management tools like Git, Maven, jUnit, etc.
You are able to work independently but you have good communication skills, in Dutch as well as in English. You can break down the problem at hand, find out additional requirements where needed, provide a solution in the application landscape we have and pay attention to safety and usability.
