What will be your challenge?

As a Project Manager at this company, you will play a key role in driving the success of our yacht-building projects. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of your assigned project area, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the highest standards of quality. Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Leading Project Teams: You will be an integral part of one of highly skilled and motivated project teams that are responsible for bringing the yachts to life. You will work in close collaboration with various departments and will report directly to the Project Director.
  • Project Execution: You will manage all project-related activities, both internally and externally. This includes coordinating between departments, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently, and overseeing the execution of all project tasks within the defined scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Stakeholder Management: You will take the lead in managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including co-makers, subcontractors, and employees. This will involve clear communication, setting expectations, and ensuring alignment with the project goals.
  • Contract Management: You will be responsible for the management of the yacht-building contract, including overseeing specific parts of the contract related to your project area. Additionally, you will handle third-party contracts, managing escalations and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Third-Party Relations: You will maintain and strengthen working relationships with third-party contractors, co-makers, and subcontractors, ensuring that their contributions are aligned with project objectives. Your ability to negotiate and ensure that all parties are on the same page will be critical to the project’s success.
  • Educational Background: A University degree or Higher Vocational Education (HBO), ideally in a relevant field such as engineering, project management, or maritime studies.
  • Professional Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of experience, preferably within the maritime or yacht-building industry, or a similar technical project-based environment.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
