Our client is a leader in autonomous transport solutions, with over 30 years of experience in operating and maintaining Automated Transit Systems worldwide. As the number of projects grows, they are expanding their Operations, Maintenance & Support team with hands-on Service Engineers who enjoy working at the heart of high-tech transport systems.

About the role
As a Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the operational performance of automated vehicles and systems in the field. You’ll execute preventive and corrective maintenance, support testing, manage safety procedures, and ensure everything runs smoothly for both customers and internal teams. Your work ensures our systems keep moving, safely and reliably.

Your profile

• BSc/MSour Profilec in Automotive, Mechatronics, Electrical/Control Systems or related fields
• 2–5 years of experience in technical service, preferably in the automotive or automation domain
• Comfortable working with mechanical systems, ADAS tech, and Linux (Ubuntu)
• Familiar with ISO 26262 and SOTIF safety standards
• Skilled in Python/Bash scripting, and tools like JIRA & Confluence
• Fluent in Dutch & English (written and spoken)

• VCA-B or VCA-VOL
• NEN-1010 / 3140 / 9140
• Working at heights (Arbobesluit 3.16 / 7.23)
• BHV or equivalent emergency response
•  ISO 26262 / ISO 21448 (SOTIF)

• Execute preventive & corrective maintenance on automated vehicles and infrastructure
•  Support operational start-up & handover from project to operations
•  Manage and document on-site safety audits and lessons learned
•  Fine-tune and test Collision Avoidance Systems and other AD functions
•  Perform regression testing after software/hardware updates
•  Maintain customer relationships and handle technical progress meetings
•  Maintain and improve tooling, processes, manuals, and test setups
•  Coordinate with suppliers and third-party service providers
