About the Role
As a Systems Engineer with a focus on Functional Safety, you’ll be responsible for embedding safety standards and protocols into every layer of the autonomous system—from shuttle vehicles to control centers. You’ll define safety concepts and support the engineering teams with risk assessments, safety validations, and regulatory compliance.

Dit verwachten we van jou

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar
3+ years experience with functional safety in automotive or robotics
Knowledge of safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508, ASIL, ASPICE)
Experience with safety lifecycle activities, risk assessments, and verification
Familiarity with safety tools (Medini, Safety Architect, etc.) is a plus
Analytical thinker with a proactive mindset and attention to detail
Team player with strong documentation and communication skills

Define and manage functional safety requirements across system components
Support compliance with safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ASIL levels, ASCE 21)
Conduct hazard and risk analysis (HARA), FMEA, and fault tree analysis
Collaborate with project and software teams to design safety-related features
Lead safety validation and verification efforts
Coordinate with third-party assessors and certification bodies
Document safety concepts and ensure traceability throughout the project lifecycle
