At Trinamics, we connect skilled engineers to cutting-edge companies in the high-tech industry. For our client in the production printing sector, we are currently looking for a passionate Equipment Engineer who thrives in a highly automated, technical environment. You will be involved in every phase of the Equipment Creation Process — from advising internal stakeholders and creating designs to hands-on implementation, commissioning, and transfer to the maintenance team. You'll contribute directly to the success of advanced ink and toner factories by ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and safety of all production equipment.

This role offers a dynamic working environment filled with technical challenges, such as automation, process control, SCADA/PLC systems, and machine optimization. You’ll work in multidisciplinary teams and liaise with suppliers, internal departments, and technical experts to turn innovative ideas into operational reality.

• Salary range: €4.000 – €6.500 gross per month (including 13th month), depending on education and experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electro & Control, Software, Mechatronics, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in a production or machine-building environment
• Experience with PLC and SCADA systems
• Affinity with process technology, industrial automation, or equipment development
• Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE, IPMA, or similar
• Familiar with maintenance engineering and asset management principles
• Good command of English (Dutch is a plus)
• Willingness to occasionally travel to suppliers in and outside the Netherlands
• Familiarity with Machinery Directive, CE marking, and ATEX is a big plus
• Valid VCA-VOL certificate or willing to obtain one

• Take ownership of the Equipment Creation Process – from specification to commissioning
• Work in multidisciplinary teams across production, quality, and facility departments
• Design, develop and optimize production systems for ink, toner, and printhead manufacturing
• Collaborate with external suppliers for equipment development and CAPEX projects
• Support operations with troubleshooting, improvements, and system performance analysis
• Identify risks early and implement smart, structural solutions
• Contribute to a safe and sustainable production environment, aligned with industry standards
