What if you could lead the charge in engineering groundbreaking projects within the dynamic realm of power distribution for data centers? As our Lead Engineer Electrical, you'll spearhead the engineering and execution of projects, ensuring they're completed within budget and timeline agreements.

Joining our close-knit Electrical Engineering team for data centers, you'll collaborate with approximately 20 passionate engineers. With our operations rapidly expanding, we're on the lookout for a Lead Engineer Electrical to seamlessly integrate into our driven team.

You'll be part of the "Data Centre Electrification & Automation" department, responsible for executing multidisciplinary projects worldwide. This department, comprising about 100 engineers, operates under the umbrella of our Smart Infrastructure division—one of the globe's leading suppliers of sustainable, reliable, and efficient energy transmission and distribution solutions.

Functieomschrijving

Your Role:

As the Lead Engineer, you'll helm the engineering aspects of projects. This involves overseeing Interface- and System engineers, guiding them through detailed engineering tasks.

Project scopes encompass the entire lifecycle, from engineering and manufacturing to installation and commissioning of power distribution systems. Think medium- and low-voltage switchgear, transformers, power distribution units, bus bar systems, digital protection, automation and monitoring systems, and modular solutions such as E-Houses and Skids.

Your keen eye for detail will ensure alignment across various designs and disciplines, all while meeting budget and schedule constraints amid our dynamic client landscape.

In addition to managing the engineering team, you'll maintain regular client contact, offering expert advice and ensuring seamless coordination between designs and stakeholders. You'll be the go-to technical point of contact, collaborating extensively with Project Managers.

Your work will predominantly unfold at our office in The Hague, the Netherlands, with frequent visits to factories and project sites worldwide. Expect to supervise factory testing, attend client meetings, and coordinate site activities

Wat verwachten we van jou?

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering from HTS or TU, coupled with a minimum of 7 years' experience as a (lead) engineer in multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong theoretical and practical expertise in low- and medium-voltage switchgear, transformers, short-circuit and selectivity calculations, and adherence to standards like IEC 61439.
• Proven ability to prepare technical reports and test plans.
• Possess a creative, positive mindset with exceptional communication skills to inspire and motivate teams.
• Capable of devising and executing engineering plans while effectively managing and coaching team members.
• Adept at navigating complex interpersonal dynamics, including handling critical clients with finesse.
• Flexible and willing to travel frequently for short business trips.
• Calm under pressure, thriving in dynamic environments.
• Fluency in English is a must, with proficiency in Dutch considered advantageous
