Introductie

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer for our partner the region of The Hague, to contribute to the development of robotic systems and newly designed geotechnical equipment in their innovation pipeline. As a member of the Innovation Technology Commissioning and Implementation group, your focus will be on comprehensive testing, implementing design improvements, commissioning, optimizing performance, and ensuring reliability. Given the complexity of the equipment, your role will involve providing support to identify quick solutions, including offshore situations.

Our partner, a leading provider of Geo-data, is dedicated to accelerating integrated data acquisition, with a key emphasis on reducing fieldwork exposure by utilizing remotely controlled robots equipped with a variety of sensors and tools, deployed in sea, land, and air environments. As part of this initiative, we design and construct robotic equipment.


Functieomschrijving
  • Addressing the electrical and automation aspects of equipment for onshore, offshore, and subsea applications.
  • Collaborating with the design team to assess, advise, and consult on practical and safety-related aspects of the design.
  • Managing electrical wiring diagrams, electrical safety, and designing converters and motor control; completing technical upgrades and technical manuals.
  • Leading the execution of acceptance testing and validation, actively participating in field pilot projects.
  • Engaging with the operations department to address field-related issues.
  • Serving as part of the innovation 3rd line support, resolving complex issues related to both hardware and software and acting as the point of contact for the electrical aspects of the products.
Wat verwachten we van jou?
  • BSc. degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety standards (e.g., EN61010 and EN60945).
  • Experience with PLCs, designing control cabinets, and comfort working with low to high-power converters and motors.
  • Previous experience in a maritime/offshore environment is advantageous.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
  • Self-driven attitude, practical mindset, and a willingness to develop new skills.
